Church of Christ the King Kids Club Please contact the Church Office at 416-621-3630 if u are interested.
During the 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning service - a cooperative nursery is available for infants and toddlers under two years of age - Kids Club is available for children from 2 years of age to grade 5. (PS. Tthere is a youth group for those in grade six and up) Since Sunday is a time when Christian children become closer to God, all children are invited to join us as we explore, live, and celebrate our faith; as we build friendships, learn to pray and learn of God's love for each of us always, as well as have a lot of FUN!. We use the respected "Hands On" curriculum by Group Publishing and the David C. Cook curriculum for our kindergarten class. Because we are each important to God and He loves us always, the goal of our Kid's Club is to teach our children to share in the love of the Lord while guiding them as they travel on their individual faith journeys. Our dedicated and caring teachers model God's love as they interact and work diligently with our children. Children are a part of our Sunday worship and in particular take part in services for Baptism, Confirmation, Baden Powell/Thinking Day Service, other special family services, as well as celebrations such as Advent, when we light the Advent wreathe candles, and set up our manger scene with the figures of Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus. At Christmas we perform our Christmas pageant and we join in the Easter and Palm Sunday celebrations. Quite often the Kid's Club children sing during the adult service. So that the congregation gets to know the children, we "Spotlight" one or two at a service, as well as enjoy a very active "Secret Pal" program which finishes at the end of April with a get together. The Kid's Club supports "Sleeping Children Around the World" as a part of our reaching out to others who are less fortunate. The Kid's Club begins on the second Sunday of September and we close for the summer holidays with an awards Sunday and a Parish Picnic. Sunday School will be held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month It is in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
